Discover your own path with Crozzit® strategy game that looks easy, but it’s not!

Snohomish, WA (July 11, 2017) – It’s no wonder that classic grid games like chess or Chinese checkers are endearing and enduring. It looks simple, but it never is. You only have to go from “here” to “there” but it takes a player with better strategy to win. There’s a brand new game for competitive players from toymaker Identity Games. Make a space on the toy shelf for Crozzit ($19.99), the 18-step game that comes with a telling tag line, the game you always almost win!

Don’t tell the kids but the benefits of playing Crozzit are much more than bragging rights over a sibling or best buddy. Young brains get a good workout while sitting at the kitchen table. Board games help children develop logic and reasoning skills, improve critical thinking and boost spatial reasoning. Basic skills like paying attention and the ability to concentrate and focus are lifelong habits that can be nurtured in a round or two of Crozzit. The judges at Creative Child agree—they just award Crozzit Game of the Year!

To start, pick a color – yellow or blue – and carefully make a path across the grid. Two edges are blue, and two are yellow. Each player gets 30 small tiles, 1 large and 1 extra large tile. In a nutshell, Player 1 needs to make a blue line connecting the 2 blue sides of the board as Player 2 connects the yellow sides using the yellow tiles. The challenge is to get across, first, while at the same time blocking your opponent.

There are only 18 steps from one side to the other, so you’re never far from victory, but no game is ever that easy! Crozzit comes with a few rules – a tile can’t be placed on the edge of the board. Tiles must touch at least one side to be connected. Instructions with illustrations are tucked into every game box. As each game is completed in about 20 minutes, a few strategies emerge that can be used again, thus making this an enduring and endearing way to spend some down time!
